What if there was no customer segmentation

How would retailers drill down to figure out more about their target customers? As the lines between consumer segments continue to blur, retailers are going to need to come up with a different strategy to meet the needs of the ever-growing and expanding customer base. It is no longer acceptable for retailers to say males like this, Hispanics like that or this is more appealing to Boomers. All customers now expect more and retailers will need to deliver if they want to keep and grow their business.
